Dr Abdullah Mohammed is a highly experienced Consultant Cardiologist with dual accreditation in Cardiology and General Internal Medicine. He specialises in advanced cardiac imaging and diagnostics, with a strong focus on delivering timely, accurate assessments and personalised care.
He has held senior leadership roles including Cardiology Clinical Director and Clinical Lead for Echocardiography and Cardiac Imaging at St Helens and Whiston Hospitals. He also holds an honorary consultant post in cardiac imaging at the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. Dr Mohammed currently leads the valve disease, atrial fibrillation, and emergency chest pain pathways at Whiston Hospital, and heads the Echocardiography and Cardiac Health Screening (Heart MOT) service at Fairfield Independent Hospital.
He graduated from the University of Glasgow and completed his postgraduate training through the Mersey Deanery. He undertook subspecialty training in Echocardiography and Cardiac Imaging, areas in which he has led clinical services and innovation.
Dr Mohammed provides diagnostic services across Merseyside and Manchester, and also runs remote clinics via Harley Street, London. He receives referrals from across the UK and internationally. At Fairfield Independent Hospital, Dr Mohammed offers a full range of cardiac diagnostic investigations and services including DVLA and CAA assessments (HGV & pilots).
In addition to his clinical work, Dr Mohammed is a Clinical Advisor to the Parliamentary Health Service Ombudsman and serves as an Expert Witness and Specialty Associate for the General Medical Council. He is also an examiner for the Royal College of Physicians and an assessor for the GMC Specialist Register in Cardiology.
Dr Mohammed is known for his diagnostic precision, collaborative approach, and commitment to high clinical standards. He works closely with leading cardiac interventionists and surgeons to ensure patients receive timely, multidisciplinary care.
