Get involved in the recovery journey

At Circle Rehabilitation, we actively encourage family and friends to participate in the patient’s rehabilitation journey. We understand that loved ones often want to play a supportive role and are eager to help in any way they can. We welcome them to engage with our expert team, share any concerns or worries they may have, and actively participate in discussions about the patient's progress and goals.

  • Stay involved in the patient’s care

Family and friends are welcome to work with our multidisciplinary team to set goals for the patient's physical progress, functional abilities, future independence, and engagement in leisure and work activities.

They are encouraged to attend progress meetings where they can provide valuable insights and receive updates on the patient's rehabilitation journey.

They can ask to speak to anyone of the team and we will always make the time for a chat to address any questions or provide reassurance.

  • Facilities for friends and family

We offer a relative room on site where families and friends can relax in a comfortable and private environment.

This space includes information about charities and support agencies, ensuring that visitors have access to resources that can assist them during their loved one's rehabilitation.

Families and friends are encouraged to attend events which we hold onsite, this can include sitting down for a coffee and cake at one of our many coffee mornings, to celebrating Mother’s day with a delicious afternoon tea. We want to help make those very important special memories for your all.

  • Financial and practical guidance

We understand that navigating financial and practical aspects can be overwhelming. Our team provides guidance on insurance coverage, financial planning for ongoing care, and accessing community resources.

We offer assistance with paperwork, insurance claims, and navigating healthcare systems to alleviate stress and ensure families can focus on supporting their loved one's recovery.

  • Emotional and psychological support

Recognising the emotional impact of rehabilitation, Circle Rehabilitation offers specialised support services for families. Our team includes trained counsellors and psychologists who provide emotional support and coping strategies to help families navigate this challenging journey.

We offer regular counselling sessions and family therapy to address any emotional concerns and ensure that families feel supported and resilient throughout the rehabilitation process.

    Peer support groups

Connecting with others who are going through similar experiences can be invaluable. Circle Rehabilitation hosts peer support groups where families can connect with others facing similar challenges. These groups provide a supportive environment for sharing experiences, exchanging advice, and fostering friendships. Peer support enhances emotional resilience and provides families with a network of understanding peers who can offer empathy and encouragement.

  • Sources of support

In addition to on-site support, we offer online resources and support groups for families who may not be able to attend in-person sessions.

Our virtual support platform includes forums, webinars, and informational resources that families can access from anywhere in the world. This ensures that families have continuous access to support and information, regardless of their location or schedule.

We maintain relationships with various charities and support organisations, providing families and friends with access to onward and ongoing advice and support. We inform them about scheduled visits from these organisations to our site, enabling them to meet and connect with representatives for additional guidance and resources.

  • Education and training for families

We believe that knowledge is empowering. At Circle Rehabilitation, we provide educational workshops and training sessions specifically designed for families.

These sessions cover topics such as understanding the rehabilitation process, caregiving techniques, and how to support recovery at home.

By equipping families with knowledge and skills, we empower them to actively participate in their loved one's care and rehabilitation journey.

  • Discharge planning and support

We involve loved ones in discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition back home. Our team offers guidance on any necessary adjustments or aids that may be required post-discharge. It is essential to us that families and friends feel supported and confident in supporting the patient's ongoing recovery journey once they return home.

Our commitment to families extends beyond discharge. We provide post-discharge support services to ensure a smooth transition back home. This includes follow-up consultations, home care arrangements, and ongoing communication to address any concerns or adjustments needed.

Our goal is to empower families with the tools and support they need for long-term success in supporting their loved one's recovery.
