Events, celebrations and special nights to help you feel at home

At Circle Rehab we are here to do more than just get you well. We want you to be happy during your stay here. We realise that being in hospital and away from family and friends can be a difficult time. We aim to make your stay as comfortable as possible and help you settle in, make friends, and ensure that your time here is filled with activities and distractions while you recover. We also make efforts to include your family in your care and in events wherever possible.

We will do everything we can to make sure you are kept active, have company and are entertained – should you want this. We have a range of groups, sessions and events that you can take part in, and we are always happy to listen to suggestions if there is anything in particular that you want to recommend. From walks in the park, to pumpkin carving we help make sure that you don't miss out on life while you are getting better.

  • Summer Fete

On Saturday 15th June 2024 we held our summer fete. This fundraising event was held in support of Headway Birmingham & Solihull and SameYou charities.

We had a great time, and were fortunate enough to have great weather. Photos of the event will follow shortly.

  • Mental Health Awareness week

Mental Health and Dementia Awareness week happened this year on 13 – 19 May 2024. During the week our team at Circle Rehabilitation came together to support mental health and dementia awareness.

We organised a bake sale, enjoyed by both our team and patients, as part of our efforts to raise awareness. We talked about how to stay mentally healthy and understand dementia better.

The turnout was fantastic, and both visitors and staff had an excellent time, and lots of cake!

  • Eid celebrations

On April 10th 2024 we helped our Muslim patients and staff to celebrate Eid.

The day was a heart-warming celebration at Circle Rehabilitation as our dedicated team and wonderful patients came together to commemorate Eid! During the day we shared delicious treats and socialised together, having a great time celebrating this special occasion.

Rachid, International Patient Liaison Officer said: “Eid Al Fitr meant the feast of breaking the fast. The fast, in this instance, is Ramadam. It takes place the day after the new moon is seen and marks the start of the month of Shawwal – the 10th month of the Islamic calendar and it includes special morning prayers.

People greet each other with ‘Eid Mubarak’ meaning ‘Blessed Eid’ and with formal embraces. Sweet dishes are prepared at home and gifts are given to those in need. For me personally, it means the reward after fasting for the whole month of Ramadan and having that spiritual reflection. It’s time now to celebrate.”

  • Easter Celebrations

Circle Rehabilitation was abuzz with the spirit of Easter this April (2024), as our dedicated teams organised a variety of engaging activities for our patients.

We had a wonderful time sharing some Easter joy by distributing the chocolate eggs that were generously donated by our hospital staff to the homeless in Birmingham city centre. It was a heart-warming experience that truly showcased the spirit of giving.

In the kitchen, the air was filled with the sweet aroma of freshly baked treats as patients eagerly crafted delicious Easter goodies together.

Meanwhile, in the activity room, laughter filled the air as patients immersed themselves in the art of colouring vibrant Easter pictures.

The Easter therapy sessions were thoroughly enjoyed by all patients at Circle Rehabilitation.

  • Christmas at Circle Rehab

During our Christmas celebrations we had the wonderful Sing Bentley Heath Community Choir at Circle Rehabilitation. Their beautiful singing filled the room and brought smiles to our patients, ex-patients, and staff

Our team at Circle Rehabilitation are made spirits bright by donating to the Salvation Army Christmas Present Appeal!

Thanks to our amazing colleagues who donated a sleigh-full of presents for this amazing charity.
