Paediatric dietitians translate the science of nutrition into everyday information about food.
They work to provide nutrition therapy to children according to the disease processes, providing individual dietary consultations to the child and their family members and also conducting group education for other health workers, patients and the public.
They coordinate both medical records and nutritional needs to assess the children and make a plan based on their findings.

Paediatric dietetic costs are covered by most medical insurance policies, but please check with your insurer first. If you are paying for your own treatment the cost will be explained and confirmed in writing when you book. Ask the hospital for a quote beforehand, and ensure that this includes all associated costs.
