We're now offering video consultations so you can see a GP, Consultant or physiotherapist virtually.
As well as preventing unnecessary travel, an online consultation can have many other benefits, including fast access to a consultation from a place that is convenient for you. We share the key benefits of having an online consultation and how to arrange an online consultation with one of our specialists.
With remote consultations, there's no need to visit a hospital. Simply connect with one of our experts using your smartphone, tablet or computer.
A remote consultation, also known as a virtual consultation, is an appointment via telephone or video chat with one of our healthcare professionals.
You can expect the same experience as you would have in a face-to-face consultation, with the same expert and personalised care and attention that the Circle Health Group is known for.
We often have more virtual appointments available, meaning you can get the help you need sooner.
People who are unable to travel to hospitals or GP surgeries – for example those who are vulnerable or isolating, or people with travel difficulties – can still see their doctor.
You can access your online consultation wherever you are, meaning you don't have to leave your home, place of work - or wherever you are - to speak to your doctor.
You get the same personal interaction as with a face to face appointment, but from the comfort of your own home – or wherever is convenient for you.
Our advisors will talk you through your reasons for calling and set up an appointment with the appropriate specialist. We aim to get your appointment booked in within 48 hours, just like with our in-person consultations.
When we confirm your appointment, we'll send you details of how to log into the session online. The process is both simple and secure.
Not all appointments can be done online. For example, if you need tests or scans, we may ask you to come to hospital. Nonetheless, we aim to be as flexible as possible to keep you feeling safe and secure during these difficult times.
If you would rather have a face-to-face appointment, just let the advisor know when you call, or fill in our online form and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
You can access your online consultation using a laptop, PC, smartphone or tablet.
When we confirm your virtual consultation, we'll send you a link that will let you join the session, along with easy instructions on how to access it, including details for whichever device you're using.
It's a very simple process and so far we've had great feedback on the ease of using it.
Of course, if you have any problems at all you can get in touch via the contact details included in your invite.
All our online consultations are held on Microsoft Teams, a highly secure platform.
We are offering both remote and face-to-face consultations across all of our hospitals. Although we may recommend one or the other to you, the final decision is yours.
So, if you are offered an online consultation but, for whatever reason, you would like to have your consultation or GP appointment in person, simply let us know when you book,
Should anything interfere with the quality of your video consultation, don't worry.
Your consultant/GP/Physio will have your phone number and they'll call you to continue the appointment as a telephone consultation.
