MRI Scanning at The Sloane Hospital

The Sloane Hospital is able to offer MRI scanning using out 1.5t scanner.  An MRI scan gives detailed images of the inside of the body using magnetic fields and radio waves within your cells.

X-ray at The Sloane Hospital

Our general x-ray rooms deal with all x-ray procedures. The xray room is equipped and designed to accommodate all patients. All images taken are scanned on to our digital PACS system.

We are also equipped with a mobile x-ray unit for ward radiography and image intensifier within the operating theatre suite for x-ray guided surgery.

Ultrasound at The Sloane Hospital

An ultrasound produces internal images of your body using high frequency sound waves. An ultrasound can be used for a number of medical reasons. The Imaging Centre has two ultrasound units for the use of our visiting consultants. A full range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations are available at the centre. These range from general abdomen and pelvic, obstetric and gynaecological studies, follicular tracking, soft tissue joints and breast imaging.

Mammography at The Sloane Hospital

The mammography unit is staffed by fully accredited radiographers. The unit offers general mammography as well as more specialised views. The unit is fully equipped for digital stereotactic localisation to aid biopsy and fine needle aspiration of soft tissue lesions.

We also offer rapid access clinics for asymptotic patients.
