Sports medicine in Milton Keynes

Whether a seasoned athlete, a sports enthusiast or someone who likes to keep active, everyone is susceptible to injury.

In most cases sports injuries are minor and can be effectively managed at home with time and rest, however if the injury is causing significant impact on your activity levels or quality of life then it’s advisable to seek specialist advice to decide whether any additional investigations or treatment are needed.

The Saxon Clinic offers patients fast and easy access to a service specialising in the multi-disciplinary treatment of sport injuries and musculoskeletal conditions offering patients an effective and efficient path to recovery.

Led by Consultant in Sport & Exercise Medicine, Dr Richard Collins, and supported by our experienced team of chartered Physiotherapists, our service provides a rapid assessment and coordination of care to ensure you receive the best evidenced treatment for your specific needs.

Where clinically appropriate, our ‘one stop-shop’ treatment service gives patients the opportunity to receive ultrasound guided injection treatment to help ease symptoms and maximise recovery. See below for terms and conditions for our ‘one-stop shop’ service.

Although not essential, we recommend that your pathway begins with a clinical assessment by one of our senior Physiotherapists since many injuries and musculoskeletal conditions can be treated effectively with Physiotherapist led rehabilitation care.

However, should your Physiotherapist identify your condition as requiring further diagnostic tests or needing Consultant assessment, they will be able to discuss your case with our Sports Medicine Consultant at our multi-disciplinary meeting and provide you with further recommendations.

Our goal is to provide you with the best quality care at the time you need it, ensuring a seamless treatment journey to active health.
