Expert care for hand and wrist concerns.
Hand and wrist pain can be caused by various conditions, including:
When you choose treatment with us, you can make the most of our network of expert consultants. Working alongside specialist multidisciplinary teams, comprising pain management specialists, physiotherapists, radiologists and more. They are dedicated to helping you get better – faster.
Dupuytren’s disease causes one or more of your fingers to point towards your palm, resulting in discomfort and limited mobility in your hands. The disease most commonly affects your ring and little fingers, and you can have it in both hands at the same time. Fortunately, symptoms can be eased or even corrected by surgery. You might be recommended a fascietomy, a needle fasciotomy, or a dermafasciectomy, three different procedures each to help effectively treat Dupuytren’s disease.
Carpal tunnel syndrome is a condition where your median nerve (a nerve in your hand that passes through your wrist) becomes compressed. This can cause pain, numbness or a tingling sensation in your fingers and hands. Carpal tunnel release surgery can help alleviate these symptoms by cutting your carpal ligament, which travels across the base of your palm, giving your median nerve and other nerves with more room to move.
Stenosing tenosynovitis, commonly referred to as trigger finger, can cause pain and stiffness when you try to move your finger or thumb. If left untreated, your affected finger or thumb could become trapped in a bent position, significantly reducing mobility in your finger. Trigger finger release surgery is a highly effective treatment option. It is rare for the problem to reappear after surgery.
A wrist arthroscopy is a keyhole operation that can diagnose and treat damage to the structures of your wrist. It is a minimally invasive procedure that treats conditions such as carpal tunnel disease and even wrist fractures.
