At The Priory Hospital we offer fast access to diagnosis and treatment for a multitude of different medical conditions, because we strive to give the best service possible to our patients.

We’ve recently had a new MRI and CT centre which can now be located on the ground floor just off main reception. The Philips Ingenia 1.5T MRI and Canon Aquilion One Genesis CT scanners aim to develop the imaging services already provided by the hospital, as well as increasing the variety of scans available.

They will help to diagnose a multitude of different conditions, including orthopaedic, spinal, oncological, cardiac, neurological, urological and gynaecological, giving patients a quick diagnostic turnaround, as well as the peace of mind they are in the hands of true professionals.

We offer a broad range of diagnostic services at The Priory Hospital and they include the following:

Examinations usually take between 20 and 40 minutes but not all of that time is taken up by actual scanning.

In order to enhance the image of certain parts of the body, a contrast agent may be given orally or intravenously. Patients may, therefore, be required to arrive an hour before their examination time so that this can be administered.

Paying for treatment

All patients are welcome – whether you choose to pay directly for their treatment or by using your private medical insurance. We arrange direct settlement with insurance companies, but be sure to pre-check your level of cover.

For self-paying patients, we can advise the price in advance of the investigation, and we accept a number of payment methods.
