What is the da Vinci® surgical system?

The da Vinci® surgical system is an advanced robotic-assisted platform designed to support surgeons during minimally invasive procedures. Despite its name, the robot does not operate independently. Every movement is fully controlled by your consultant surgeon from a dedicated console within the operating theatre.

The system translates the surgeon's hand movements into precise movements of specialised surgical instruments, while providing a high-definition, magnified 3D view of the surgical site.
