Health Assessments in Lancaster

Lancaster Private Hospital offers comprehensive private health assessments for patients across Lancaster, South Lakes and Cumbria. Combining advanced health screening with personalised medical advice, our experienced clinicians help you understand your health, identify potential health risks early and take positive steps towards your future wellbeing.

Most of us wouldn't think twice about taking our car for its annual MOT or service. It's an opportunity to check everything is working as it should, identify any problems early and help prevent bigger issues down the road.

Your health deserves the same attention.

A private health assessment at Lancaster Private Hospital is a comprehensive check of your overall health and wellbeing. Whether you're feeling perfectly well, have a family history of certain conditions or simply want greater peace of mind, a health assessment can help identify potential health risks before they become more serious and give you the knowledge to take control of your health.

Our experienced clinicians combine advanced health screening, comprehensive testing and personalised medical advice to give you a clear picture of your current health, along with practical recommendations to help you stay well for longer.

Many common health conditions develop gradually and often show few or no symptoms in their early stages. A health assessment can help identify early signs of conditions that may benefit from lifestyle changes, monitoring or further investigation.

You may benefit from a health assessment if you:

  • Want reassurance about your health
  • Have a family history of conditions such as heart disease or diabetes
  • Are over 40 and want to understand your future health risks
  • Have noticed changes in your health or energy levels
  • Lead a busy lifestyle and haven't had a health check for several years
  • Want personalised advice on improving your long-term wellbeing

Early detection can make a significant difference, helping you make informed decisions about your health before problems become more serious.

Our health assessments are designed to provide a comprehensive overview of your health and can help identify early signs or risk factors associated with a range of conditions. These include:

Heart and cardiovascular health
Your assessment may help identify risk factors including high blood pressure, raised cholesterol and your overall cardiovascular risk.

Diabetes
Blood tests and lifestyle assessments can help identify your risk of developing Type 2 diabetes and other metabolic conditions.

Liver and kidney health
Comprehensive blood testing helps assess how well your liver and kidneys are functioning.

Thyroid health
Your thyroid plays an important role in regulating your body's metabolism and energy levels. Testing can identify potential thyroid disorders.

Lifestyle-related health risks
We'll review factors including weight, nutrition, physical activity and other lifestyle habits, providing personalised advice to help improve your long-term health.

Cancer awareness
Where appropriate, your assessment includes examinations to identify any findings that may require further investigation or referral.

We offer two levels of health assessment, allowing you to choose the option that's right for you.
