The diagnostic imaging department (also known as radiology and X-ray), is one of the largest departments at The Chiltern Hospital. We provide a comprehensive range of modalities including CT (Computerised Tomography), MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), Ultrasound, Mammography, Plain Film and Fluoroscopy.

We offer the following new Breast Imaging Technologies in the newly refurbished GE Pristina Mammography Unit.
- 3D Mammograms - These are beneficial for ladies with dense breasts, which have a higher risk of Breast Cancer and are usually more difficult to image with conventional 2D mammography.
- Breast Density software - This automatically calculates the Breast density for any lady having a mammogram.
- Stereo Vacuum Assisted Breast Biopsy
- Contrast Enhanced Breast Imaging - A new enhanced imaging technology for Breast lesions.
- The newly refurbished Ultrasound room next door, offering an easy transition from Mammogram to Breast Ultrasound.
