Ross Hall Clinic Braehead offers private MSK physiotherapy services in Glasgow and further afield
The physical assessment can include strength testing, range of motion, reflex and sensory function, and posture and gait analysis. We have a variety of advanced technology within our department designed to analyse these metrics.
Based on the outcome of your assessment, your physiotherapist will design an individualised MSK physiotherapy plan to help you attain your goals and meet your expectations. Our team are experienced in exercise prescription, soft tissue and joint mobilisations, acupuncture and education, ensuring you benefit fully from a tailored and individualised plan.
Broadly, MSK physio can be split into different areas of the body.
Neck and shoulder
You can benefit from MSK physiotherapy if you suffer with neck pain, reduced movement or weakness in the neck, frozen shoulder, shoulder instability, and shoulder pain from conditions such as sub acromial pain and shoulder osteoarthritis.
Elbow, hand and wrist
You can benefit from MSK physiotherapy if you live with golfer’s elbow (pain in the inner side of the elbow) and tennis elbow (pain in the outer side of the elbow). You can also benefit if you suffer with hand osteoarthritis.
Lower back
You can benefit from MSK physiotherapy if you experience lumbar pain, pins and needles or reduced strength in your legs.
Hip and knee
You can benefit from MSK physiotherapy if you have knee osteoarthritis, patellar tendinopathy (pain below the kneecap), patellofemoral pain syndrome (pain at the front of the knee), greater trochanteric pain syndrome (pain at the side of your hip), and hip osteoarthritis.
Foot and ankle
You can benefit from MSK physiotherapy for conditions you may have including Achilles tendinopathy (Achilles tendon pain), ankle sprains, and extensor, peroneal or posterior tibialis tendinopathy (pain at the top of your foot, outer side of your ankle, and inner side of your ankle, respectively).
You may not be suitable for the MSK physiotherapy service in Glasgow if you have longstanding and widespread aches and pains. Furthermore, if you have seen a physiotherapist for the same problems in the past and have not seen any benefit, again seeing an MSK physiotherapist in Glasgow may not help. Instead, you should seek clinical opinion from an orthopaedic surgeon if advised by your physiotherapist.
