Personal Profile

Mr Ramakrishnan is an experienced Consultant Otolaryngologist based within Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham. His expertise is focused within the provision of sinus surgery, rhinoplasties, snoring and complex skull base surgery, but extends further within the wider scope of ear, nose and throat (ENT) practice. Working in an NHS tertiary centre allows a significant proportion of his workload to focus on revision and complex cases. 

Graduating from the University of Cambridge in 2001, he completed his pre-registration house jobs in Cambridge and Norwich. Mr Ramakrishnan pursued general surgical training in Newcastle upon Tyne, proceeding with further training in London at the renowned Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital, Guys Hospital and St Bartholomew's Hospital.

Mr Ramakrishnan completed his ear, nose and throat specialist training in the Northern Deanery. He subsequently pursued two very prestigious national surgical fellowships: the Training Interface Cosmetic and the Premier Advanced Rhinology Skull Base Fellowship (Birmingham).

Mr Ramakrishnan maintains an enthusiastic focus on research within the scope of his work. He continues to regularly publish research findings from projects and clinical trials in peer-reviewed journals and to participate as a reviewer of peer submitted work with a number of prestigious journals.
