About Dr William Eysenck

Personal Profile

Dr. William Eysenck graduated from the School of Medical Sciences at the University of Manchester in 2008, having earned an intercalated BSc in Pharmacology from the same institution in 2007. After completing his general cardiology training, he pursued a dedicated 3-year research fellowship, which led to several peer-reviewed publications. His thesis, titled 'Detection Techniques and Modern Management of Atrial Fibrillation', earned him an MD (Res) from St George's University, London.

Dr. Eysenck has undergone advanced training in electrophysiology and complex devices at several major UK tertiary centres, including St George's University Hospital, Morriston Cardiac Centre, Royal Sussex County Hospital, and Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals. After a 15-month tenure as a locum Consultant Cardiac Electrophysiologist and Senior Lecturer at King's College Hospital, he was appointed at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust to establish and lead the arrhythmia service. He also visits Royal Brompton Hospital, where he performs both simple and complex electrophysiology and device procedures, including cardiac ablation for supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), atrial fibrillation (AF), atrial flutter, ventricular tachycardia, permanent pacemaker implantation, implantable cardioverter defibrillators and cardiac resynchronisation therapy.

In addition to his NHS role, Dr. Eysenck sees private patients at Circle Health Group Hospitals, including The Sloane Hospital and The Blackheath Hospital, and the Royal Brompton Hospital. His proficiency in advanced electrophysiology procedures ensures comprehensive, evidence-based treatment for a wide range of heart rhythm disorders.
