Dr Will Storrar is an experienced Consultant in Respiratory and General (Internal) Medicine, providing expert private care for patients with a wide range of respiratory and general medical conditions. Clinical Expertise

Dr Storrar specialises in the assessment and management of both common and complex respiratory conditions. His areas of expertise include asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), chronic cough, breathlessness, bronchiectasis, recurrent chest infections, and interstitial lung disease (including pulmonary fibrosis). He also provides comprehensive evaluation of suspected lung cancer and works closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patients receive timely and coordinated care.

In addition, Dr Storrar has significant experience in managing patients with unexplained breathlessness and post-viral respiratory symptoms, including those following COVID-19 infection. Dr Storrar graduated with distinction in Clinical Sciences from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Medical School, London in 2005. He completed his postgraduate training in Respiratory and General (Internal) Medicine in the Wessex region and was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in 2009.

He also holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree, with research focused on novel therapies for treating severe allergic asthma, reflecting his longstanding interest in advancing treatment options for patients with complex airways disease. His research was conducted under the guidance of Professor Anoop J. Chauhan, a leading expert in respiratory medicine and airway disease.

NHS Practice and Leadership

Alongside his private practice, Dr Storrar is a Consultant Respiratory and General Physician at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He has held several senior leadership roles, including Clinical Lead for Respiratory Medicine, Clinical Director for Long Term Conditions and Divisional Medical Director for the Medicine Division.

He is also Clinical Lead for Asthma Services, where he has played a key role in developing high-quality, integrated care pathways.

Teaching and Training

Dr Storrar is actively involved in medical education and training within the NHS. He has served as Deputy Training Programme Director in the Wessex Deanery and works as both an Educational and Clinical Supervisor for resident doctors and specialist trainees. He is committed to maintaining high standards of clinical practice and supporting the development of future respiratory physicians.
