About Dr Wesley Tensel
Personal Profile
Dr Wes Tensel is a senior General Practitioner with a wealth of experience, who always aim to give the highest level of patient centred care.
Dr Tensel graduated from the University of Cambridge. After university he moved back to Manchester to complete his GP training, and then became a GP trainer, overseeing the training of new GPs. He is currently the senior GP Partner at an NHS practice which is rated Outstanding by the CQC.
He is the safeguarding lead for his NHS practice and occasionally works for his local out of hours service doing remote consultations in the evening and seeing NHS patients face to face on the weekend.
Dr Tensel has also been the team doctor for Rochdale AFC since 2009, where he looks after the first team football players throughout the week and is pitch side for their home matches. He is also qualified in advanced life support in the pre hospital setting.
As well as working with professional footballers, Dr Tensel is registered with UK Boxing to carry out the BCR1 Boxing medicals.
Dr Tensel is also the co-founder of Prestige Private Health who offer private GPs for corporate clients, as well as personalised bespoke GPs for high net worth individuals.
In his spare time Dr Tensel spends time with his wife and two young sons. He enjoys travelling and doing magic tricks for friends and family.
