Mr Wael Elsaify is a Consultant General, Breast and Endocrine Surgeon at Woodlands Hospital in Darlington. He sees NHS, self-pay and insured patients.
He trained in Endocrine and Breast Surgery at the Royal Victoria Infirmary which is part of Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As well as practicing at Woodlands Hospital, he is a Consultant General, Breast and Endocrine (thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal) Surgeon at James Cook University Hospital, part of South Tees NHS Foundation Trust.
Mr Elsaify works closely with a team of endocrinologists to offer a multi-disciplinary approach to thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal dysfunction. He routinely performs gallbladder removal surgery (laparoscopic cholecystectomy - keyhole surgery) for gallbladder disease. He also carries out open and keyhole hernia repair surgery and excision of skin lesions, lumps and bumps.
Currently, Mr Elsaify runs a wide-ranging general surgery practice in the NHS, based at James Cook University Hospital. He has been employed as a fully-accredited Consultant Breast, Endocrine and General Surgeon since 2011. He is also the Lead Clinician for Endocrine Surgery. He has performed over 1,000 thyroid and parathyroid procedures.
