Personal Profile

Dr Vikram Rajkomar is an experienced private Consultant Dermatologist. 

Vikram read medicine at the University of Sheffield, having been awarded a prestigious undergraduate scholarship. Following medical training in Yorkshire, he completed his dermatology training in Manchester. 

His NHS practice was at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust and Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, based in Macclesfield. As part of his NHS role, he had leadership and management roles as audit and undergraduate leads at Salford Royal and supervised the training of other doctors. 

Dr Rajkomar has presented at both national and international conferences and has participated in multiple national research projects. 

He understands the psychological and emotional impact of skin conditions and provide a personalised approach to treatment to help patients achieve the best possible outcome.

Vikram regularly attend meetings and conferences to keep his knowledge and skills up to date and participate in yearly appraisals as directed by the General Medical Council.

As a compassionate and knowledgeable dermatologist, he hopes to continue making a positive impact on the wellbeing of his patients, ensuring optimal skin health and quality of life.

Mr Rajkomar provides consultations to patients of all age groups, including babies, for various skin conditions. These include, though are not limited to:

  • Rashes such as eczema and psoriasis
  • Skin allergy - I carry out patch test at the hospital to exclude contact allergy

  • Mole check and removal - I am proficient in the diagnosis and removal of suspicious moles
