Dr Vidan Masani was born and raised in London and subsequently qualified from the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine in 1993.  He undertook his postgraduate training in the South East and Wessex regions, and completed a 1 year Senior Registrar fellowship in Intensive Care Medicine in Perth, Western Australia.

Dr Masani has held offices with the British Thoracic Society as well as regional appointments in local networks.

He was appointed as a Consultant Respiratory Physician in Bath in 2004.  He has many years of experience in treating patients with respiratory conditions, including asthma, COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, bronchiectasis and persistent cough (excluding sleep apnoea); and has forged a special interest in lung cancer and pleural disease respiratory medicine.

Dr Masani was appointed as a Consultant Respiratory Physician at The Royal United Hospital in Bath in 2004.  He has many years of experience in treating patients with respiratory conditions, including asthma, COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, bronchiectasis and persistent cough (excluding sleep apnoea); and has forged a special interest in lung cancer and pleural disease respiratory medicine.

Dr Masani has held offices with the British Thoracic Society as well as regional appointments in local networks.

Please note that Dr Masani does not treat patients with sleep apnoea or long covid. A GP Referral letter will be required in advance of booking an appointment.
