Personal Profile

Dr Tsirka is specialised in Clinical Neurophysiology and Neurology. She was trained in Clinical Neurophysiology at St Thomas’ Hospital, at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery and King’s College Hospital. 

She is a senior consultant in Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy at Royal London Hospital, and Clinical Lead for Neurophysiology. 

She is experienced in performing and interpreting Nerve Conduction Studies and Electromyography (NCS and EMG) for the diagnosis of nerve entrapments (e.g. carpal tunnel syndrome), traumatic nerve lesions, radiculopathies, muscle disease and neuromuscular junction transmission disorders. She is also very knowledgeable about electroencephalogram (EEG) and Video Telemetry (VT) in adults and children.   

She holds a PhD in Neurophysiology, and she is actively doing clinical research focusing on neurophysiology techniques and also on electrophysiological analysis tools in collaboration with Queen Mary University.
