Personal Profile

Mrs Kumar obtained CCT in 2014 and since then has been working as a Consultant. She has done specialist training in Colposcopy and Gynae- oncology and is a core member of the team at Basingstoke hospital. She has had training at the London deanery with experience at St George’s hospital, Royal Marsden, as well as at Guildford hospital.

Mrs Kumar has also done a post graduate training in Robotics and minimal access surgery and has implemented minimal access surgery for gynaecological cancer at Basingstoke hospital. She has implemented the one stop services at Basingstoke hospital to rule out gynaecological cancers, where patients get scan, biopsy, hysteroscopy and colposcopy in one visit.

She has an interest in teaching and training and has been the college tutor for the last 3 years. She also helps with the MRCOG course as an RCOG facilitator both locally as well as at the international centres.

She is also actively involved in the national trainee recruitment process. She also teaches at the Chelsea minimal access course. She is the ATSM facilitator for the colposcopy training at the Wessex deanery.

Mrs. Kumar has done lots of audits and has done several publications and presentations in international meetings like RCOG annual congress, BGCS conference, etc. She is currently participating in the national audit on the impact of COVID 19 on cancer care.
