Clinical Interests

Minimally invasive surgery is my basic principle of surgery. Minimally invasive means minimal impact on the patient's body through the use of the state-of-the-art technology, biomaterials and biology advancements. The aim is to reduce pain, discomfort and speed up the postoperative recovery.

“Tension free” hernia mesh repair using the glue rather than stitches to fix the mesh reduces the postoperative pain and shorten the recovery time to go back sooner to a normal quality of life.

Anal canal diseases, such as haemorrhoids, anal fissures, fistulas, affect largely the population at every age; whilst the wet anus, leakage, faecal incontinence, obstructed defecation syndrome (ODS) are quite common dysfunctions mostly in the elderly population and multipara after menopause. These problems can be improved with a variety of conservative treatments or very individualized surgery.

Colorectal diseases and other widespread General surgery pathology such as gallbladder stones are within my expertise. Key hall surgery and minimally invasive treatments are always my first standard approach.
