About Dr Ure Eke

Personal Profile

Dr Ure Eke is an experienced Consultant Dermatologist specialising in general dermatology, skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, and dermatologic surgery. She provides expert care for patients with a wide range of skin conditions, with a particular focus on skin cancer management and advanced surgical techniques.

Dr Eke qualified in medicine from the University of Liverpool in 2003, graduating with Honours. She then completed her specialist dermatology training in the West Midlands, gaining broad experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of skin conditions.

To further advance her surgical expertise, she undertook a highly specialised fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in 2015. This training focused on precision skin cancer surgery, a technique used to remove skin cancers while preserving as much healthy tissue as possible.

Since 2015, Dr Eke has worked as a substantive NHS Consultant Dermatologist at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust.

Her clinical practice includes general dermatology, skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, and dermatologic surgery. She manages a wide range of skin conditions, helping patients with both common and complex dermatological needs.

She also has a particular interest in dermatological conditions affecting skin of colour, contributing to improved understanding and care for patients with diverse skin types.

Dr Eke has advanced expertise in skin cancer management, including early diagnosis, surgical treatment, and follow-up care. Her Mohs surgery training allows her to provide highly precise surgical treatment for certain types of skin cancer, ensuring optimal removal while preserving healthy surrounding tissue.

Dr Eke is passionate about medical education and has been actively involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching throughout her career.

She has been a regular faculty member of the British Society of Dermatologic Surgery since 2015, where she contributes to the training of dermatology and surgical professionals.

She has also published multiple research papers and delivered presentations at national and international conferences across Europe and the United States. In addition, she has contributed to dermatology textbooks, supporting education and knowledge development in her field.
