Mr. Dandekar works as a Consultant adult cardiac surgeon at the University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire. He has special interest in coronary artery disease, arterial grafting, beating heart surgery, valvular heart disease and valve surgery.
Mr. Dandekar has research interest with publications in peer reviewed journals. His M.Ch work was on Atrial Myxomas.
Mr. Dandekar is an avid teacher and is involved with teaching and training juniors.
Charity is very close to Mr.Dandekar’s heart. He is on the International Committee for Cardiostart International, a US based charity. Once every year he travels to developing countries performing heart surgeries. This has taken him to countries like Peru, Romania and last few years to West African country Ghana.
