Dr Mandalia currently works as a Consultant Radiologist with a special interest in musculoskeletal and paediatric radiology. His NHS practice is based at Watford General. His private practice is based at The Clementine Churchill Hospital and Bishops Wood Hospital.
Before becoming a radiologist Dr Mandalia trained as a paediatrician up to senior registrar level. He has worked at the Evelina Children’s Hospital and the Bart and London Children’s Hospital. He has worked in paediatric and neonatal intensive care up to senior registrar level.
He went on to complete his radiology training at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital and further sub-specialise in musculoskeletal and paediatric radiology. He completed an honorary fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and a fellowship in paediatric radiology at Great Ormond Street Hospital. He has worked as an Honorary Consultant at Great Ormond Street Hospital in Paediatric Neuroradiology. Currently he is the lead for paediatric imaging for the East of England Deanery.

Dr Mandalia is passionate about teaching. He has lectured on multiple courses on both musculoskeletal and paediatric radiology and has taught a wide range of audiences from physios, doctors, radiographers, and medical students. He was awarded ‘Teacher of the Year’ in 2018 by his NHS trust and awarded for ‘Excellence in Teaching’ in 2022 by Health Education England. He has published widely in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international conferences including the Radiological Society of North America. He has recently co-authored a book on radiology for junior doctors.

Outside of his work commitments he enjoys spending time with family and friends. He practices Jui-Jitsu and runs on a weekly basis.
