About Tom Dunning

Personal Profile

I qualified in 2016 from the University of Huddersfield. Before becoming a specialist outpatient physio in 2018, I worked within the hospital environment with people who have had strokes, respiratory problems, orthopaedic surgery and medical ward.

Since specialising in MSK I have worked as a senior Physio in NHS outpatients treating patients with a wide range of problems from neck to the ankle and everything in between. This includes assessing and diagnosing the problem and creating a treatment programme to help the individual to reach their goals.

I have also spent time working within the academy of a professional football club working with players from the ages of 11 through to 18, assessing and rehabilitating injuries as well as completing training in acute pitch side treatment. In addition to this, I have undertaken further study in the form of masters modules of the lower limb and spinal dysfunction.

The skills gained from undertaking these have helped me to develop my clinical skills further and pass on these skills to junior members of staff.

Outside of Physiotherapy I enjoy running, playing golf & am an avid Manchester City supporter!
