About Dr Theng Lew

Personal Profile

Dr Lew qualified as a doctor at the University of Nottingham. She completed her dermatology higher specialist training at major teaching hospitals in London and in the West Midlands (including rotations at a tertiary skin cancer referral centre and Birmingham Children's Hospital). She currently holds a substantive NHS consultant post at Beckenham Beacon, King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Dr Lew is experienced in all aspects of dermatology including inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis, acne, skin cancer, nail and hair disorder, mole checks and benign skin lesions. She is highly competent at performing skin surgery to remove both cancerous and non-cancerous lesions.

She also has a special interest in treating children with skin conditions and runs the paediatric dermatology service in her NHS role. She understands the importance of undertaking a holistic and patient-centred approach in the management of dermatological conditions.

Dr Lew is actively involved in education and training, including supervision of GP trainees and GPs with a special interest in dermatology. She has publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented extensively in both national and international conferences.
