Personal Profile
Dr Tang Shim is a Consultant Dermatologist at University Hospital and Warwickshire NHS Trust. He treats all adult dermatological conditions and has specialist expertise in inflammatory dermatological problems, male genital dermatology, eczema patch testing, allergy contact dermatitis and occupational dermatology. Dr Shim was educated at the Queen’s University of Belfast.
He trained in general medicine in Belfast and dermatology in the West Midland. He had a Sir John Fisher Foundation Research Fellowship to study male genital skin disease at Chelsea and Westminster & University College Hospitals, London (2011 – 2013). His work led to award of MD (res) by Imperial College in 2017.
He has published in and medical literature and lectures on national dermatology courses. He is a clinical personal tutor and honorary clinical lecturer for Warwick Medical School, University of Warwick. He is also a topic expert member for the managing common infections committee, National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).
