About Tamer Theodossy

Mr Theodossy is a Consultant Oral Surgeon with 20 years experience in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Mr Theodossy graduated from the University of Jordan with honours in 1997. Subsequently he obtained a Masters Degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with distinction from the world renowned Eastman Dental Institute in 2000.  He also gained his Membership from the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Mr Theodossy did his specialist training in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at University College London Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital. Since 2006 he has been appointed to various Consultant posts around the UK and currently works as a Consultant Oral Surgeon at multiple Private Hospitals in London.

He is recognised by the General Dental Council (UK) as a Specialist in Oral Surgery and is also recognised by the Jordanian Dental Association as a Specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

His Specialist interests include facial deformity (orthognathic surgery), minimally invasive TMJ Surgery, Facial Trauma as well as all aspects of Oral Surgery including dental implants and bone grafting.

He works alongside other specialists in dentistry and medicine across his various sites who compliment his skills, offering the patient a seamless experience.

Mr Theodossy carries out over 1000 successful cases of surgical removal of complex impacted wisdom teeth per year. He uses state of the art techniques for assessment of each case. His patient management is based on a holistic approach to optimise patients’ oral health. No two cases are the same and so each patient will get a personalised treatment plan that suits their needs and provides the best medical outcome. Communication is key for Mr Theodossy; together with his PA, patients are kept fully informed every step of the way before, during and after their treatment.

Mr Theodossy is a Fellow of the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is a Member of the British Association of Oral Surgeons and Jordanian Dental Association, as well as being an MFDS examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

He speaks fluent Arabic and has published widely in both national and international journals. He is a reviewer for multiple Oral and Maxillofacial Journals including the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

He sits on the Medical Advisory Committee at The London Independent Hospital.

Mr Theodossy has run a free educational webinar series covering various topics in oral and maxillofacial surgery. The webinars were highly successful and reached more than 70 countries worldwide. Based on the feedback received, Mr Theodossy continues to put together webinars in collaboration with other colleagues in different specialities.

Mr Theodossy runs a hands-on training course to enhance the younger generation’s technical skills in oral surgery as part of his on-going commitment to clinical teaching and training.

Mr Theodossy has built an extensive referral base and continues to provide support to his colleagues in general dental practice if and when the need arises. He provides one to one mentorship courses aimed at dentists with specialist interest in oral surgery.
