About Dr Syahminan Suut

Personal Profile

Dr Suut graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 2007, after which he obtained a place in the Manchester Radiology Training Scheme. He was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists in 2014 and appointed substantive Consultant Diagnostic and Interventional Uro-Radiologist at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust in 2015.

His main specialties are in oncological, general and complex benign urological imaging. His main interest is in multiparametric MR imaging (mpMRI) of the prostate. He regularly participates in both benign and cancer urological specialist multi-disciplinary meetings.

Dr Suut performs a wide range of non-vascular interventional procedures, including more specialist interventions such as percutaneous nephrolithotomies and transperineal biopsies of the prostate. He is an experienced examiner at Manchester Medical School and was the former Salford Royal Undergraduate Education Lead and Trust Specialty Training Lead (TSTL) for Radiology. He also teaches formally at the North West School of Radiology Academy.

Dr Suut is currently the Clinical Director for Body Imaging at Salford Care Organisation (part of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Group) and Senior Honorary Lecturer at the University of Manchester.
