Personal Profile

Dr Selvaraj completed his advanced pain training in Northern Ireland and has been a Consultant Pain Specialist and Anaesthetist at the University Hospital of Morecambe since 2014.

He performs a variety of interventional procedures, both under fluoroscopy and ultrasound guidance, such as: medial branch, facet, epidural and sacro-iliac joint injections, stellate ganglion block, trigger point injection, radiofrequency ablation and sympathetic and peripheral nerve blocks.

Dr Selvaraj leads the multi-disciplinary team to formulate management plans for complex pain conditions and is a dedicated and compassionate pain specialist that promotes high-quality pain education to his patients and other healthcare professionals.

In addition, he fulfils various roles as an Educational Supervisor, Appraiser and Mentor, and is also an Examiner at the Faculty of Pain Medicine, Ireland.

Dr Selvaraj stays up to date with the latest developments in the field of pain medicine.

He is an avid walker and loves badminton.
