Personal Profile

Stuart specialises in the management of voice disorders (hoarseness, weakness of the voice) and throat disorders (swallowing difficulty, throat pain). Stuart also offers expertise in the investigation of neck lumps (e.g. enlarged lymph glands) and is an experienced Head and Neck Cancer surgeon. 

Stuart graduated in medicine from the University of Aberdeen in 2000 and undertook Basic and Higher Surgical training in the West of Scotland. He completed an international Head and Neck Cancer Fellowship at the Monash Cancer Centre in Melbourne, Australia in 2010. This provided advanced training in several aspects of Head and Neck surgery including laryngology (voice surgery) and Stuart is trained to the highest level in this field. 

Stuart recently completed 24 years of continuous service within the NHS and is now based full-time in the private sector in Glasgow. His out-patient laryngology practice is based at Ross Hall Braehead Clinic in Renfrew and he undertakes microlaryngeal surgery at Ross Hall Hospital in Glasgow where he has had practising privileges since 2012.
