Dr Stefano Sansone is an experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist at Nottingham University Hospital. He completed his medical degree at the Second University of Naples, School of Medicine, Italy, in 2009. Subsequently, he undertook specialty training in gastroenterology at the University of Naples Federico II in Italy, achieving certification in upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy.
Dr Sansone has a particular interest in therapeutic endoscopy, specialising in complex endoscopic resection techniques, including EMR (Endoscopic Mucosal Resection) and ESD (Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection). He also completed training under internationally renowned endoscopy experts and has been an accredited bowel cancer screening endoscopist since 2020.
Alongside his clinical work, Dr Sansone has actively contributed to several research projects, the outcomes of which have been published in peer-reviewed journals. He has also presented his research findings at international meetings.
