Mr Subramanian has been a Consultant Ophthalmologist since 1999 and has performed over 20,000 cataract and refractive laser surgical procedures. His work is routinely audited independently and he has a complication rate considerably below the national average. Mr Subramanian routinely receives referrals for second opinions to treat problems arising from cataract and refractive surgery.
Mr Subramanian is a Consultant Ophthalmologist with a special interest in complex cataract surgery and laser eye surgery. He is trained in all facets of cataract and refractive surgery, including laser treatments and refractive lens exchange surgery. An early adopter of safe proven innovative technologies in cataract and refractive surgery, he routinely uses various premium lenses like multifocal lenses, trifocal lenses and accommodative lenses to treat cataract and various refractive conditions.
Mr Subramanian is an Examiner for several Royal Colleges. He was among the first cohort of doctors who sat and passed the assessment of Competence in Laser refractive Surgery, conducted by The Royal College of Ophthalmologists. He is now an assessor for competency in laser refractive surgery.
Mr Subramaniam has been a member of the Microsurgical Training Faculty of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists for over 20 years. He has published papers in several peer reviewed journals.
