In the UK, he completed his higher surgical training in Colorectal, Laparoscopic and General surgery in the East Midlands. Before he was appointed as Consultant Surgeon at Lincoln County Hospital, he completed a fellowship programme in Laparoscopic/Trans anal Minimally Invasive Surgery (TaTME) from the renowned advanced Laparoscopic unit at Colchester General Hospital, Essex.
His area of special interest includes laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, colon, rectal cancer, trans anal endoscopic surgery and IBD.
He has presented several papers at national and international meetings and published papers on colorectal surgery in his area of interest. He also teaches on surgical skill courses and is actively involved in training junior surgeons and medical students.
