Dr Gaikwad graduated from the University of Sheffield with honours and a distinction. 

She completed her Dermatology training in Sheffield and Dr Gaikwad has held positions as a Consultant Dermatologist and patch test specialist at Doncaster Royal Infirmary and the Royal Hallamshire Hospital

Dr Gaikwad sees adult patients privately at Thornbury Hospital. She has a wide range of experience, from diagnosing and treating skin cancers, to inflammatory skin conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, and urticaria, as well as managing hair loss disorders and problems with pigmentation. She also offers cryotherapy, surgical removal of skin lesions and intralesional steroid injections for alopecia areata and hypertrophic/keloid scars.
