Squint and eye movement disorders
Miss Kasbekar treats a full spectrum of adult eye movement disorders, including squints and double vision. Her surgical expertise includes revision squint procedures, vertical muscle surgery, adjustable suture and small incision techniques. She also offers non-surgical treatment options, including botulinum toxin (Botox) injections for squint correction.
Adult Squints through Dual Expertise
Miss Kasbekar’s adult strabismus practice is built on the foundations of children’s eye care. She holds fellowship training in both paediatric ophthalmology and adult ocular motility. Many adults develop a squint that began in childhood or returned after earlier surgery. This dual expertise gives her the unique insight needed to offer the most effective, tailored treatments
Cataract Surgery
Miss Kasbekar provides expert cataract surgery for all age groups, from infants to adults. Her dedication to safe and quality care is reflected in her personal clinical outcomes.
Leadership and Teaching Roles
Dedicated to high standards in eye care, Miss Kasbekar actively trains future generations of eye surgeons as a clinical supervisor. She serves as a faculty member and instructor for a squint surgery course. As an official Trust Appraiser, she regularly peer-reviews fellow consultants to maintain clinical excellence. She has also led several successful quality im-provement initiatives. During her previous consultant position, Miss Kasbekar re-established adult strabismus care pathways across Coventry and Warwickshire to improve patient safety and ensure timely treatment.
What to expect at your consultation
Miss Kasbekar believes that successful eye surgery relies on meticulous planning and clear communication. During your consultation, she will take the time to understand your visual symptoms, explain your diagnosis, and outline safe, effective therapeutic or surgical options.
