Miss Sheila Luk is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon at the Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and honorary consultant at the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

She graduated with distinction from University College London in 2009, obtaining her degree in medicine and surgery. Prior to that, she successfully completed her Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience at UCL in 2007, graduating with first-class honors and earning a place on the Dean's list for her exceptional academic achievements.
 
During her career, Miss Luk has focused her expertise on ophthalmology. She embarked on her ophthalmology training in 2011 and underwent comprehensive higher surgical training in the midlands and London. Her commitment to professional development led her to be appointed as the glaucoma fellow at the world renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital, where she specialized in the management of complex glaucoma disease. Her exceptional skills and knowledge in this area have made her a sought-after specialist. 

With a particular interest in medical and surgical glaucoma, laser treatment, and microincision cataract surgery, Miss Luk has successfully performed over 2000 operations. She is a pioneer in minimally invasive glaucoma surgery and was the first to introduce numerous surgical procedures at her NHS practice. Her outstanding level of success and dedication to patient satisfaction have established her as a trusted practitioner where she has been selected as the finalist for 2024 staff award.
