Dr Shalin Diwanji is a distinguished Consultant in Respiratory Medicine at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. Dr Diwanji graduated in 2006 and completed his foundation training in India, subsequently moving to the UK to pursue further research in respiratory medicine. He was awarded a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in 2010 for his research in non-CF bronchiectasis and completed his higher training in Respiratory and General Medicine at prestigious institutions, including London Chest Hospital, The Royal London Hospital, and St Bartholomew's Hospital. In 2019, he was honoured with a Fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians, London.

Recently, Dr Diwanji has been appointed as Clinical Director for Respiratory Medicine at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. As Clinical Director for Respiratory Medicine at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust, Dr Diwanji has established the Enhanced Respiratory Care Unit to provide specialised care for patients with acute and chronic respiratory failure. He also co-chairs the Lung Cancer Multi-Disciplinary Team, enhancing collaborative care in lung cancer management. Dr Diwanji provides lung cancer screening services that are often limited through the NHS, working within a multidisciplinary framework to deliver comprehensive care.

  • The Post-hospitalisation COVID-19 study (PHOSP-COVID) trial : A consortium of leading researchers and clinicians from across the UK working together to understand and improve long-term health outcomes for patients who have been in hospital with confirmed or suspected COVID-19.
  • Supported Rescue packs post-discharge in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease: An open-label multicentre randomised controlled trial (RAPID)
  • Sub Investigator for TRIBE study for London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust.

Dr Diwanji is active member of British Thoracic Society (BTS), European Respiratory Society (ERS) and Royal College of Physicians, London.
