Mr Nabili had formal accredited basic, higher specialist and advanced subspecialty ophthalmology training in Ninewells University Hospital, The Royal Hospitals (Belfast) and Bristol Eye Hospital since 2000.

He achieved fellowships from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (UK) and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2008 and accomplished an Advanced Sub-Speciality Fellowship (ASTO) at Cornea and External Eye Diseases (Anterior Segment) in 2009 when he was appointed as a full-time consultant ophthalmic surgeon in Morecambe Bay University Hospitals Foundation Trust to establish the cornea and external eye diseases services in South Cumbria and North Lancashire.

Mr Nabili has expertise and skills in a wide range of eye diseases including cataract, refractive surgery, cornea, external eye diseases, glaucoma, lid diseases (oculoplastic), diabetic eye diseases, age related macular degeneration, retinal diseases, strabismus and neuro-ophthalmology.

In particular, he has special interests in cataract, premium lenses including astigmatism corrective lenses (Toric lens), refractive lens and laser surgery including LASIK, femtosecond laser, cornea ( particularly keratoconus, crosslinking),external eye diseases and oculoplastic (Lids) surgery including cosmetic lid surgery and Botox treatment.

He has maintained his continuing professional development and regularly attends national and international conferences on his special interest subjects. In addition, he has several publications in peer reviewed journals and presentations at national and international conferences.

Mr Nabili has been awarded an NHS Clinical Excellence Award for his services to University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust.

Mr Nabili is also the Clinical Lead in Ophthalmology at The Lancaster Private Hospital. Mr Nabili holds the Cardiff University Bond Solon (CUBS) Expert Witness Civil Certificate. He is fully prepared to act as an expert witness based on his in-depth knowledge and experience in all aspects of eye diseases and his formidable understanding of expert witness work. This includes medicolegal and personal injury work.
