Sarah Long Personal Profile

Sarah trained in Bristol and worked in the West Country initially. Having moved to London she gained more experience in musculoskeletal Physiotherapy working in both the NHS and private hospitals. She started working at the Chiltern 20 years ago as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist seeing a wide scope of conditions from major trauma, orthopaedic rehabilitation to isolated joint and muscle pains. Sarah has specialised in lymphoedema and the management of people following cancer working closely with the oncology team for 18 years.

Sarah then gained extra training in the management of dizziness conditions including BPPV, balance disorders from both vestibular or neurological origin and can perform the Epley manoeuvre if needed. Having worked in respiratory care in London, Sarah also treats respiratory disorders such as dysfunctional breathing to bronchiectasis, Long COVID, COPD and anxiety breathing patterns. 

Recently Sarah has also trained to become a chronic pain specialist managing persistent pain using a mind-body approach.

She is able to draw on her experience with dizziness and respiratory problems to help with this.

Sarah is a very active mum of 3 who enjoys long walks- she is extremely calm and friendly and is well known for putting her patients at ease with lots of conversation and laughs.
