About Sarah Dawson

Personal Profile

Miss Sarah Dawson is a consultant ophthalmologist with a specialist interest in cataract surgery and glaucoma management. She graduated with honours from the University of Manchester in 2011 and completed her ophthalmology specialist training in the West Midlands, gaining extensive experience in both surgical and medical eye care.

She went on to complete a glaucoma fellowship at Nottingham University Hospitals, a leading tertiary referral centre for the East Midlands, where she developed advanced expertise in managing complex glaucoma cases. Sarah became a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in 2021 and has been a Consultant Ophthalmologist since 2022.

Her clinical expertise includes modern and traditional approaches to glaucoma treatment. She offers minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries MIGS such as iStent, Preserflo, canaloplasty and trabeculotomy, as well as conventional procedures such as trabeculectomy. She also performs laser treatments for glaucoma including Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty SLT and YAG peripheral iridotomy.
