Mr Javed is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon working at the Northern Care Alliance, his specialist interest is in shoulder and elbow surgery.

He graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2006 and completed his specialist training in the North West of England. Following his CCT, he then undertook 3 prestigious shoulder and elbow fellowships at centres of excellence, including the world-renowned Wrightington Hospital, before commencing work as a Consultant in Manchester. Furthermore, he has visited many orthopaedic centres within the UK and Europe to enhance his experience in complex upper limb surgery.

Mr Javed has gained a wealth of experience during his training and by providing patient-centred care, which is evidence-based, he strives to ensure optimal outcomes and clinical excellence for his patients. His practice encompasses the diagnosis and treatment of all conditions related to the shoulder and elbow including trauma, chronic disorders and sports-related injuries. He practices advanced arthroscopic (keyhole) techniques, in addition to complex open, reconstructive and joint replacement surgery. He is regularly referred patients with complex shoulder and elbow problems from other local orthopaedic surgeons.

He has a keen interest in patient safety, audit and research. His work has been presented widely including internationally, as well as publishing a number of authoritative articles in prestigious orthopaedic journals. He remains actively involved in the teaching and training of other surgeons and is a faculty member on a number of courses.

Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, hiking and travelling.
