Main areas of clinical activity are airways disease (including COPD, asthma, bronchiectasis, management of stenosis) and lung cancer, although his diverse NHS practice includes lung diseases associated with immune suppression and drug reactions in those receiving anti-cancer therapy, difficult case reviews, and pleural disease. Research interests include developing new advanced bronchoscopic techniques for the diagnosis and treatment of lung diseases, and interventions for severe emphysema/COPD and airways disease. He also has an interest in respiratory physiology.
