Mr Trikha is a cataract, glaucoma and general ophthalmic specialist. He specializes in micro incision cataract surgery and offers the latest custom lens implants to suit individual patient needs. In addition, he offers the latest medical, laser and surgical treatment options for glaucoma.

His faculty position is at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, London.

Training and Appointment

Mr Trikha is a cataract, glaucoma and general ophthalmic specialist. He specializes in micro incision cataract surgery and offers the latest custom lens implants to suit individual patient needs. In addition, he offers the latest medical, laser and surgical treatment options for glaucoma. 

He obtained his medical degree with distinction from the University of Southampton and finished his Ophthalmology residency in the Wessex region before completing a Clinical Research Fellowship in Glaucoma at the prestigious Singapore Eye Research Institute and Clinical Fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital. 

In addition, he has recently completed an MBA in Healthcare Management from Imperial College, London.

Research and Publications

Mr Trikha is a national prize winner and has published widely in Ophthalmology, with over 25 peer-reviewed publications and two books to his name. He is regularly invited to lecture on topics such as Glaucoma and Digital Health at events around the world and is a key opinion leader, working closely with industry to provide the latest medical and surgical treatments for his patients. 

He is actively involved in surgical education and has co-authored both cataract and glaucoma surgery modules for the ‘Touch Surgery’ mobile application, which has been downloaded over 30,000 times across 162 countries worldwide.

Current Practice

Mr Trikha is an expert in cataract surgery and early adopter of the newest technologies, particularly the most up to date intraocular lens implants. In his practice he is focussed on giving patients bespoke, tailored outcomes that are best suited to their individual needs.

He is passionate about improving the quality and accessibility of care for his patients through the use of digital technology having founded Visulytix, an Artificial Intelligence company that developed ground-breaking solutions for the early detection of conditions such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration. 

He served as their Chief Medical Officer from 2015 to 2019.
