Dr Saif Razvi was appointed Consultant Neurologist at the Institute of Neurological Sciences, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow, in 2008. This followed specialist registrar training in neurology at Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Glasgow, with a period of clinical research at the University of Glasgow between 2002 and 2004.

Dr Razvi has a special interest in epilepsy and seizures as well as seizure mimics including blackouts and non-epileptic attack disorder. He also assesses and manages a wide range of other common neurological presentations.

Dr Razvi has particular expertise in telemedicine, and over the last decade has developed several telemedicine services for neurology across Scotland. He also helped pilot and introduce the NHS Attend Anywhere video clinic platform in the West of Scotland in 2018. The Attend Anywhere platform is now the default telemedicine platform in NHS Scotland.

Dr Razvi’s research interests include treatment resistant epilepsy and non-epileptic attack disorder. In leadership roles, Dr Razvi has helped plan and improve a range of neurological services in the West of Scotland. These include services for people with learning disabilities with epilepsy, and patients with non-epileptic attack disorder in the West of Scotland.

As part of his consultant role, Dr Razvi provides the first seizure service to NHS Ayrshire and Arran and NHS Western Isles (via telemedicine) and is also visiting consultant neurologist at the William Quarrier Scottish Epilepsy Centre in Glasgow.

Dr Razvi sees patients privately at Ross Hall Hospital for epilepsy and seizures and can carry out consultations face to face or over the telephone.
