Mr David graduated from the College of Medicine at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, in 2005. He was recognised as the best graduating doctor and achieved distinction in pharmacology, as well as the highest grade in pathology.
He then completed more than ten years of specialist urology training across Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, the United States and the United Kingdom.
Following the award of Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS Urology), he completed a Senior Urology Fellowship in Salisbury. During this time, he developed advanced expertise in HoLEP and other minimally invasive treatments for enlarged prostate.
Today, he combines his private practice with his NHS role as Clinical Governance Lead at Dorset County Hospital.
Alongside his clinical practice, Mr David is actively involved in research, education and service development.
He has published extensively in peer-reviewed medical journals and has received more than 2,000 citations for his academic work. His research has contributed to improvements in patient care and surgical outcomes across several areas of urology.
He has also played leading roles in major national and international studies and audits, including BOOMERANG, COVIDStones, RESECT and IDENTIFY Study.
