About Dr Robert Herd

Personal Profile

Dr Robert Herd is a graduate of Edinburgh Medical School and completed his dermatology training in Edinburgh before taking up a specialist skin cancer post at the Western Infirmary in Glasgow.

Dr Herd trained in Mohs’ Surgery during a Fellowship at Harvard Medical School in Boston. He was the first person to introduce the Mohs’ technique to Scotland in 2001. Since then his practice has flourished and he now has extensive experience in treating facial skin cancers.

Dr Herd sees children from 12 years in his outpatient clinic but can only offer surgical procedures on those 17 years and above.

Please be advised, Dr Herd is not BUPA fee assured. Patients will likely be required to pay an excess for any consultations or treatments with Dr Herd if they are insured through BUPA. Dr Herd does not see patients insured with Aviva or AXA.
