About Dr Richard Kaczmarski

Personal Profile

Dr Richard Kaczmarski graduated from King’s College Hospital Medical School, University of London in 1984. At Kings he undertook research into the role of haemopoietic growth factors in myelodysplastic syndromes and HIV, where I obtained my MD. He trained in internal medicine at St Bartholomew’s Hospital and haematology training at King’s College Hospital where he held research posts funded by the Welcome Trust and Medical Research Council. He completed specialist haematology training at Hammersmith Hospital.

He was appointed consultant at Hillingdon Hospital where he practices general haematology with an interest in haematological malignancies and clinical trials. Dr Kacmarski is currently Consultant Haematologist and Clinical Lead at Hillingdon Hospital in London, Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College and Specialty Lead for Cancer in the North West London Clinical Research Network.

Mr Kaczmarkski helped establish, and was Clinical Lead of the West London Cancer Research Network and also the Specialty Lead for Cancer in the North West London Clinical Research Network. Alongside this, he is an honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Imperial College School of Medicine and Examiner for the Royal college of Pathologists.
